INSTALLATION The libmba-0.7.0.zip package contains a DLL that can be copied into an applications path (e.g. c:\winnt\system32) and the libmba source code. To build a debug DLL use nmake: > cd libmba-0.7.0 > nmake -f Makefile.msvc To build the release DLL switch cflags variables in Makefile.msvc. To make the static .LIB just do: > nmake -f Makefile.msvc libmba.lib To install the dll in c:\winnt\system32 run: > nmake -f Makefile.msvc install The domnode module (which has been deprecated but is still in the source tree) will read UTF-8 encoded XML files but it currently does not write UTF-8 unless the program is running in a UTF-8 locale. Windows does not support a UTF-8 locale. To execute cl, link, and implib from the commandline (as nmake does with Makefile.msvc) it is necessary to either check "Register environment variables" when you install MSVC or run the VCVARS32.BAT file in VC98\BIN but it will be necessary to re-run setup and check "Register environment variables" for the changes to persist.
